WHO HOLDS YOUR ALLEGIANCE?

📖 Names carry meaning—identity, purpose, and expectation. The name Jesus Christ isn’t just a label; it’s a bold declaration:
🔹 Jesus = "God saves" – His mission is redemption.
🔹 Christ (Messiah) = "Anointed One" – The promised King.

👑 Son of God – In Jesus’ time, emperors used this title to justify their power. Jesus flips the script—not ruling by dominance but through service, sacrifice, and love.

⚔️ To say "Jesus is Lord" is an act of defiance
It means:
🔥 No earthly power has ultimate control.
🔥 Oppression & empire won’t last.
🔥 We belong to a kingdom of love, justice & mercy.

🙌 When we declare Jesus is Lord, we commit to:
🔸 A new allegiance – beyond politics or self-interest.
🔸 A radical kingdom – where grace, mercy, and justice reign.
🔸 A faith lived out – in love for God and neighbor.

🕊️ Communion reminds us of this truth. As we share the table, we proclaim: JESUS IS LORD. Live His love.
