🔹 What does it mean to say "I believe"? 🔹

On Sunday, Emmanuel kicked off our new series, Ancient Paths, exploring the Apostles’ Creed—a framework of faith handed down through generations of disciples.

We reflected on:
💭 What does it mean to say “I believe”? – More than agreement with an idea, belief in the early church was about allegiance—declaring loyalty to Jesus and his kingdom, not the empires of this world.

💧 Baptism & Belonging – The Creed was historically tied to baptism, marking a radical reorientation: dying to oppressive systems and rising into a kingdom of justice, mercy, and love.

🫂 Faith in Community – Saying I believe is never just individual; it’s a collective declaration, spoken alongside the global and historic Church—one body, one Spirit, one hope.

We’re invited to live out this belief—not as an empty creed, but as a living reality, animated by the love of Jesus.
