Learning God's Love - Joel McCoy - 19th January 2025

On Sunday, Joel explored Mark 12:28-31 and the call to love your neighbour as yourself, unpacking how this revolutionary commandment invites us into a love that is practical, countercultural, and deeply transformative.

❤️ Agape love in action: This is a love rooted in will and commitment, seeking the good and flourishing of others, no matter who they are or what differences exist.

👀 The one who is near: Your neighbour isn’t limited to proximity—it’s anyone God places in your life. Who might God be asking you to love this week?

🕊️ Start with being loved: Joel reminded us that we can only love others well when we let ourselves be loved by God. Seeing ourselves through His eyes frees us to love without agenda or expectation.

Scripture: Read God’s promises as a love letter to you.
Silence: Spend a few quiet minutes each day resting in His love.
Sabbath: Pause, rest, and delight in God’s goodness.
